Alcohol Counselling

GCA offer individual, free and confidential counselling for people experiencing alcohol-related difficulties and those affected by someone else’s alcohol issue. The service is provided by trained staff and volunteers. This service is available 6 days per week and 4 evenings per week. You can access the service by contacting GCA directly or by being referred by another source such as a GP or CAT Team. Our counsellors are available in Glasgow City Centre, East End, Yoker, Drumchapel and East Dunbartonshire.

What is Counselling?
One-to-one counselling provides a confidential space for you to talk things over.

How long will counselling last?
The number of counselling sessions needed depends on the individual.

Will anyone find out about what I talk about?
GCA’s counselling service is confidential so the content of your sessions remain between you and your counsellor unless there are concerns about your safety or someone else’s.

Where can I go for counselling?
GCA provide counselling in various locations within Glasgow City Centre, the East End, Yoker, Drumchapel and East Dunbartonshire.
